Elon Musk, the renowned CEO of X, formerly known as Twitter, recently made a thrilling announcement. He revealed that he will be squaring off against Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, in a riveting clash that will be live-streamed on X.
Taking to Twitter, Musk tweeted, “Zuck v Musk fight will be live-streamed on X.” But this event isn’t just for spectacle; it carries a noble cause as well. All proceeds from the highly anticipated fight will be donated to charity, benefiting veterans in need.
Under the ownership of Elon Musk, X, the microblogging platform, has been undergoing significant transformations in both policies and branding. Following its acquisition by the visionary behind SpaceX and Tesla, the company has been making remarkable strides in its evolution.
The clash between these two influential figures promises to be an electrifying event, and the fact that it supports a charitable cause adds an extra layer of significance to this exciting showdown. The tech community eagerly awaits the date of the live-streamed face-off, as the anticipation continues to build for this historic event in the tech world.
The tweet was met with a flurry of reactions from X users, who asked Musk about the purpose and the rules of the fight.
Musk replied, “It’s a civilized form of war. Men love war.”
Both Musk and Zuckerberg have said that they are not fighting for money or fame, but for the future of technology and humanity.
X to pay legal bills for users facing employer bias
In another development, Twitter has announced that it will cover the legal expenses of any user who faces discrimination or retaliation from their employer for their online activity.
As per a BBC report, the announcement was made by X’s owner and CEO, Elon Musk, on Sunday. He said that his platform would provide “no limits” financial assistance to users who were treated unfairly for posting or liking something on X.
He urged users to “let us know” if they had encountered any such situation and said that X would “stand with you”.
Musk, who is a billionaire entrepreneur and a vocal advocate of free speech, took over Twitter in April last year and renamed it, X, last month.
He said that he wanted to make X “the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated” and that “free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy”.
